South African researchers interested in attending and participating in the Information Communications Technology (ICT) 2018 event taking place in Vienna, Austria from 4-6 December 2018 are invited to apply.
Ahead of the next cut-off deadline for Eurostars funding applications on Thursday, 28 February 2019 at 20:00 CET, a webinar will be organised. The webinar will be presented by Davide Delaiti, Eurostars Project Officer. The webinar will be followed by a questions and answers session.
South African researchers interested in attending and participating in the Information Communications Technology (ICT) 2018 event taking place in Vienna, Austria from 4-6 December 2018 are invited to apply. The event will have a specific focus on digital transformation of society and industry. The Department of Science and Technology will avail seed funding to cover the travel costs to be incurred by South African participants from academia, industry and publicly funded research institutions to attend the event in accordance with the Departmental policies. The closing date for applications is 26 October 2018 at 14:00.
Applications are open for the 2018 African Union Kwame Nkrumah Awards for Scientific Excellence. The objective is to award top African scientists for their achievements and valuable discoveries and findings in science, technology and innovation. The closing date for nominations is 10 November 2018.
The European Commission (EC)published its proposal for Horizon Europe, a €100 billion research and innovation programme, on 7 June 2018. The proposal is part of the next European Union long-term budget. Horizon Europe 2021 – 2027 will succeed Horizon 2020 and is expected to be launched on 1 January 2021.
